Rodney's Big Race

Rodney incredibly finished his race 5 minutes faster than his last.   Even after an interrupted training session, he was able to get back on the course and finish in better shape than last time.  No blistered feet or sore muscles, he was in great shape, even shaking it up on the dance floor later that night.   Here are some pictures of the race and our stay in San Antonio.    A special thanks to Darryl and Carol for taking the trip over to San Antonio and keeping me company.  Of course we had to walk half the marathon to watch Rodney finish! :)  But that's Darryl, always the tour guide.  Thanks guys!

Well....

It came down to a five-point come from behind last jam, but the Tough Cookies are officially the 2008 Season Champions. The Cookies '08 Campaign came full circle, from last years devastating, Champs disqualifying loss to the Sirens to this year's sweet victory. We wore our special champs uniforms and the were truly magical!!

This is it!

Tomorrow the Tough Cookies skate in our first Championship game. We are super stoked - it has been five months since our last game but we have been working so hard the past few months and are ready to kick some Sirens ass!

Philly is so exciting right now. There are like a hundred things going on and people are still partying from the word series. I wish I could be out there instead of stuck at work but I'm still so excited about the energy in this town right now.

Mendocino Memories Made

We had a wonderful vacation in Northern California last week. It was a beautiful part of the country and a great way to spend time with the family. Now back to the hustle and bustle and an exciting election week.
